Shaping the future of energy: EPRI Europe’s impact at Enlit Europe 2025

EPRI Europe’s presence at Enlit Europe in Bilbao (18–20 November) underscored EPRI's  broad expertise and commitment to accelerating the energy transition. In the EU Projects Zone, we showcased four Horizon Europe initiatives: AGISTIN (energy storage), AI-EFFECT (artificial intelligence), QUASAR (photovoltaics), and HVDC-WISE (HVDC grids), demonstrating leadership in grid integration, sustainability, AI testing and experimentation, and high‑voltage direct current technologies.

Beyond the exhibition, EPRI experts contributed to sessions spanning AI, battery storage, resilience, PV integration, digital technologies for renewables, flexibility, digital tools and services, innovation, and startup acceleration—reinforcing our role as a trusted partner in shaping Europe’s clean energy future. The Mercury Consortium, co-founded by Kraken and EPRI, was introduced to the broader energy community, highlighting practical guidelines for integrating consumer energy devices at the grid edge. At the AI Hub, discussions focused on turning intelligence into action across every layer of the energy system, with EPRI Fellow Mark McGranaghan among the speakers. The EPRI European Energy Innovation Forum had outstanding participation from EPRI members and innovators, focusing on how AI is impacting innovation pathways.

Overall, 14 EPRI Europe collaborators represented the institute across speaking and engagement opportunities, making Enlit a vital platform to exchange knowledge, connect with utilities, and spark new collaborations.
