On the 5th webinar of our Energy Talks series, we will delve into the environmental benefits, challenges, and risks associated with energy storage systems. This session will introduce a comprehensive framework for LCA developed by the AGISTIN project. This LCA framework will enable us to evaluate the environmental performance of the energy storage systems tested in our project pilots. In this webinar, you’ll also be able to gain insights from practical examples and case studies from our sister projects i-Stentore, SINNOGENES and 2LIPP. 

Experts from Vattenfall Eldistribution AB, Siemens, EPRI Europe, Grenoble INP - UGA and G2Elab, and Università di Cagliari will discuss issues including purchasing strategies, the potential of sub-metering to enhance flexibility, coordination challenges between transmission and distribution, and the granularity needed to optimise localised markets.

E.DSO is organising its 1^st FutureGrid Innovation Summit in Brussels on 6 February 2025! Distribution System Operators (DSOs) are crucial in driving innovation in the energy system to meet 2030 climate goals and achieve climate neutrality by 2050. EPRI is sponsoring this event.

EPRI, along with Elia Group, is continuing a discussion around innovation challenges and strategies to support the energy transition. We had a great discussion around ongoing innovation across Europe in our first European Energy Innovation forums, organized in Rome in October 2022 and at RTE in Paris in December 2023. This third discussion will be in Brussels, on December 3^rd, starting at 9am.

The objective is to create a forum for innovation leaders in Europe to share experiences around innovation programs and create a community for ongoing coordination. We would like to invite Utility Innovation manager from all Europe to be part of this event and of our European Energy Innovation Interest Group.

In this talk, the 2LIPP project will highlight the implementation of 2LiPP technologies at the CHP plant on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, and discuss the benefits and challenges of reusing infrastructure to support green energy.
