<p><strong>Dublin, Ireland (</strong>Feb. 9, 2026) EPRI Europe is announcing an initiative to help simplify and accelerate the integration of distributed energy resources (DER) into electricity networks—supporting Europe’s transition toward a more flexible, resilient, and consumer‑centric energy system. EPRI’s Flexible Integrated Technologies Initiative (FLEXIT) focuses on integrating consumer technologies, such as rooftop solar, electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage, and smart home devices, into the electric grid.</p>

<p class="text-align-justify">Dublin, Ireland (13 Jan. 2026) - Ireland is joining a major European initiative aimed at improving how communities produce, consume, and share renewable energy. The Innovative Transactive Renewable Energy Communities (<a>INNO-TREC</a>) initiative, funded by the European Commission under <a href="https://research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu/funding/funding-opportunities/funding-programmes-and-open-calls/horizon-europe_en">Horizon Europe</a>, aims to make renewable energy communities more accessible, efficient, and sustainable.</p>

<p><strong>Dublin, Ireland.</strong> (Dec. 15, 2025) - The aftermath of the 2025 Iberian Blackout highlighted how rapidly changing grid conditions can overwhelm traditional monitoring and control processes. The independent, non-profit energy R&amp;D institute EPRI today announced a global initiative to modernize how the electric sector detects, anticipates, and responds to emerging risks and manages increasing complexity in an era of rapid change.</p>

<p>On December 2nd, the final review of the int:net project has taken place in Brussels, marking the culmination of three years of collaborative work to accelerate interoperability in the energy sector. The int:net project, funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, has brought together leading organizations to develop frameworks and tools that enable seamless integration of systems and services across the energy value chain.</p>
